Joanne brings seasoned hands-on expertise and experience to the field of organizational leadership development and effectiveness.
Her background is distinguished by 17+ years of great success selling in the information technology industry with Amdahl Corporation (now Fujitsu Computer Systems), Honeywell Information Systems and Burroughs Corporation (now Unisys). In her last ten years with Amdahl, selling in the IBM plug-compatible mainframe computer and peripherals market, she was a consistent Summit Award winner for exceeding quota by 200+%. In her last year, she was rated #2 in the country with over $30M in sales.
As a top performer in this extremely fast-paced, competitive environment, she learned and integrated into practice the principles, dynamics and skills of developing long-term stakeholder relationships built on trust while delivering consistent top results, and inspiring an environment of optimal creativity and collaborative teamwork to make it happen – all which intrinsically informs her coaching and facilitation approach.
Since 2006, she has served on the executive coaching faculty for the annual Global Institute for Leadership Development (GILD), geared toward Fortune 1000 leaders and their teams, and has been a learning team leader since 2009 for the annual Women In Leadership (WIL) Institute, both produced by Linkage, Inc. For seven years, she facilitated a monthly CEO business advisory roundtable for a SF Bay Area Chapter of the Women Presidents’ Organization, a membership organization for women CEO’s and/or owners of second-stage entrepreneurial companies (revenues of $2-50M).
She is an affiliate of CoachSource and Eurous Global Executive Leadership, both premier providers of executive leadership coaching globally.
Joanne draws upon numerous psychological, sociological, spiritual and leadership philosophies, competency models and assessments in her coaching and facilitation. Her work is centrally informed by both 25+ years of study with the late Angeles Arrien, an internationally renown master teacher and cultural anthropologist, and 6+ years of study with Wendy Palmer, a master teacher and sixth degree black belt in Aikido, mindfulness practitioner and Founder of Leadership Embodiment, a coaching program she takes into organizations globally.
